4:30pm – 5:15pm: Campus Tour (for those interested)
4:30 – 5:15 pm: Registration and networking
5:15pm – 6:00pm: Students Recognition
6:00pm – 7:00pm: Speaker
7:00pm: Dinner
7:30pm: Raffle and/or Chinese auction

 

Cost:               $35 pre-registered members

                        $45 pre-registered non-members

                        $45 at the door-Walk-ins

                        $10 Students

Choice of Chicken – Medallions of chicken sautéed with mushrooms, lemon                                     slices in a butter & white wine sauce

Choice of Grilled Salmon – Atlantic Salmon served with a lemon/caper sauce

Directions:

FROM NEW JERSEY/WALT WHITMAN BRIDGE
Take Broad Street exit. Make a left turn onto Broad Street. At the first light (Packer Ave.), make a right turn. Proceed to 20th street (you will go under an overpass). The Airport Tower hotel & Penrose Restaurant will be facing you. Make a left turn onto 20th street. Popi’s is on the right hand side, south of the Penrose restaurant

FROM NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA – 95S
Exit at Broad Street. Proceed north on Broad street staying in the left lane. You will see overhead signs that say “ W B PATTISON”. Turn left onto Pattison avenue and proceed to 20th street. Make a right onto 20th. Popi’s will be 2-3 blocks north on the left hand side.

FROM DELAWARE COUNTY – 95N
Follow 95N to exit 13 (Rt. 291) to the George Platt bridge. Platt bridge becomes Penrose Ave. or Rt. 291. Continue on Penrose until the 3rd light (20th street). Make a right turn onto 20th. Popi’s will be on the right side of the street just south of Penrose Restaurant.

FROM VALLEY FORGE/KING OF PRUSSIA AREA – 76E
Take 76E to the end, following the Airport exit lane to Penrose Ave. (RT 291). Make a left turn onto Penrose Avenue and continue to the third light which will be 20th street. Make a right turn onto 20th. Popi’s will be on the right hand side of the street just south of Penrose Restaurant.

A SHORT BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH:

Dr. Floros received his Ph.D. in food science and technology from the University of Georgia, USA. He worked in the food industry, was on the faculty at Purdue University, where he received tenure and achieved the rank of Professor of Food Process Engineering and Packaging, and since 2000, he has been leading the Department of Food Science at the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Floros has published more than 200 refereed articles, research abstracts, book chapters and other publications, has presented more than 200 research papers or invited lectures, and has received numerous awards and professional honors throughout his career. He is a member of several professional and honorary societies, a Fellow and Past-President of the Institute of Food Technologists, a Fellow of the Food Systems Leadership Institute, and he currently serves on FDA’s Science Board.
